Today marks the begining of the GVRAT 1000k, and I got a good distance into it (15.44 miles). But alas, I haven’t even made it into Tennessee yet. The course starts on the Arkansas side of the Mississippi River along the levee. I (virtually) passed this cool Waverly Plantation and stopped just south of Wyanoke for the day.
I went out to Castlewood State Park for a little 10 mile run earlier today. I had planned to do some of the flatter trails near the river. Unfortunately the river had decided to cover those trails, so I had to stick to the bluffs. I am pretty sure the water is mostly coming down stream from other places because the other trails in the park were not as flooded as they typically are when Meramec flooding is due to local precipitation. It was still a nice run. Just a little bit hillier than I expected. Nothing wrong with extra hills.
Welp! I totally forgot that I set this thing up a couple of days after doing it. Will I remember it after today? Who’s to say? Maybe. Maybe not. We shall see. Stay tuned.
This is stuff about my life at home. Fun stuff. Dull stuff. Any other stuff that may be related to any of that other stuff.
